FAQs

Everything homeowners ask us

If your question isn't here, call or send the quote form — you'll get a straight answer either way.

Quotes & scheduling

How do quotes work, and are they really free?

Yes — always free, no obligation. Send the quote form with a few details about your home (photos help us quote faster and more accurately), or call. You'll get a written, itemized quote — usually within one business day. The price quoted is the price charged; if we find something unexpected on site, we talk to you before doing anything.

Do I need to be home during the service?

For exterior-only work, no — as long as gates are unlocked and pets are secured, most customers go about their day. For interior window cleaning you'll need to let us in. Either way, you'll get a message when we're on the way and a walkthrough (in person or with photos) when the work is done.

How far in advance should I book?

Exterior cleaning can usually be scheduled within a week or two. Christmas lighting is different — installs are booked in order of request starting in early fall, and the calendar genuinely fills as December approaches, so the earlier you reserve, the more choice you have in dates.

Do you offer recurring service?

Yes. Many Southwest Florida homes benefit from window cleaning two to four times a year because of salt air, sprinkler overspray, and pollen. If you'd like, we'll suggest a sensible schedule for your home — and we'll never auto-enroll you in anything you didn't ask for.

Trust & accountability

Are you insured?

Yes. For His Glory Window Cleaning carries liability insurance, and we're happy to provide proof of coverage before any work begins.

Who will actually be at my home?

Trained professionals on every job — working to standards set and personally overseen by the owner, Gavin Gregas. This is an owner-operated company: no anonymous subcontractors, and one accountable person behind every result.

What if I'm not happy with something?

Tell us — that's not an inconvenience, it's the deal. We walk every job before leaving, and if you find something afterward that isn't right, we'll come back and make it right. In fact, you don't pay until you're fully satisfied.

Isn't the owner pretty young?

Gavin started this company at 17 and has run it for 4 years — and honestly, that works in your favor. You get a company with the energy to redo a window rather than shrug at it, modern systems for quotes and scheduling that actually get answered, and an owner whose entire local reputation depends on how your job turns out. Age isn't the standard here; the work is.

Methods & your property

What's the difference between pressure washing and soft washing?

Pressure washing uses controlled high pressure — right for concrete, pavers, and other hard surfaces. Soft washing uses low pressure with appropriate cleaning solutions — right for stucco, siding, soffits, screens, and anything high pressure could damage. Companies that blast everything with the same pressure are how stucco gets scarred and screens get torn. We match the method to the surface, every time. Full explanation here.

Will you protect my plants, furniture, and fixtures?

Yes — this is a standard part of every job, not an add-on. Landscaping near work areas is pre-rinsed and rinsed after, patio furniture is moved and returned, and electrical outlets and fixtures are avoided or covered. If something needs special care, point it out and it will get it.

Why do my windows spot so quickly here?

Southwest Florida is tough on glass: salt carried in coastal air, hard well or city water from sprinkler overspray, near-daily summer humidity, and heavy spring pollen. Regular professional cleaning removes deposits before they etch into the glass — here's what's actually happening.

Do you clean screened lanais?

Yes — lanai and pool-cage screens are one of the most requested cleanings in this area. Screens collect pollen, dust, and organic growth that high pressure would tear; we soft wash them so light and breeze come through the way they're supposed to.

Christmas lighting

How does Christmas lighting service work?

It's full-service: we design the display with you, supply and install the lighting, keep it working through the season, and take it down when the season ends — with storage available so next year starts with a phone call, not an attic search. See the whole process.

When should I book my Christmas light installation?

Reserve in early fall. Installations happen in order of request, and dates closest to Thanksgiving go first. Booking early doesn't mean your lights go up early — it means you choose when they go up. More on timing here.

What happens if a section of lights goes out?

Message us and we'll come fix it — in-season maintenance is part of the service, not an extra fee. A display we installed is our responsibility until it comes down.
